Summer courses to keep kids and parents busy

CHANDIGARH, May 4: Many parents are enrolling their kids for summer workshops _ promise learning with fun _ to keep them busy during holidays From computers to theatre workshops, these summer courses offer various skills for those below 16 years. Computer Wiz Kids, Sector 44, a place which provides computer education to the children between 3 to 15 years is offering separate courses for 3 to 10-year-olds, and 10 to 15-year-olds. A month's course priced at Rs 1000, introduces the kids to basics of DOS, windows and E-mail. The club also promises a fun way of learning about colour shapes, Maths and English besides solving puzzles.The Press Club will organise a summer workshop for children of 6 to 16 in the last week of May. According to Charanjit Ahuja, secretary-general of club, the activities will include fusion dance, soft toy making, casio and mime classes and a workshop on Internet. The unique thing is that even parents can join their kids for the classes. The kids can learn western dance, guitar and casio at Planet Fitness, Sector 8 from May 15. Aerobics classes are being started for children between 6 to 15 years at Rs 500 per month, according to Darshan, the public relation officer at Planet Fitness.
