Debate on non-vegetarianism
The Indian Vegetarian Congress (IVC), Mumbai, along with the Islamic Research Foundation (IRF) and Rushabh Corporation will be organising a dialogue between Rashmibhai Zaveri (president of IVC) and Zakir Naik (IRF president) on `Is non-vegetarian food permitted or prohibited for a human being' followed by a question-answer session on May 9 at 10 am at Patkar Hall, New Marine Lines. Tax consultant Y P Trivedi will be the chief guest and R H Mendonca, police commissioner, the guest of honour.Mobile school for street children
The Fulora Foundation, a charitable trust working for underprivileged and street children in Mumbai, has started a mobile school for these children. The school was inaugurated at the Western Express highway, Andheri (E) on Thursday. This school will go to predefined spots where the children will assemble and be taught basic education, cleanliness, drawing and painting. Aptitude test for students
The Tanzeem-e-Walidaen, a unit of the Khaire-Ummat Trust will conduct an aptitude test followed by personal counselling for students who have taken the SSC/HSC examinations this year. Arya Samaj's yoga classes
