Debate on non-vegetarianism
The Indian Vegetarian Congress (IVC), Mumbai, along with the Islamic Research Foundation (IRF) and Rushabh Corporation will be organising a dialogue between Rashmibhai Zaveri (president of IVC) and Zakir Naik (IRF president) on `Is non-vegetarian food permitted or prohibited for a human being' followed by a question-answer session on May 9 at 10 am at Patkar Hall, New Marine Lines. Tax consultant Y P Trivedi will be the chief guest and R H Mendonca, police commissioner, the guest of honour.

Mobile school for street children
The Fulora Foundation, a charitable trust working for underprivileged and street children in Mumbai, has started a mobile school for these children. The school was inaugurated at the Western Express highway, Andheri (E) on Thursday. This school will go to predefined spots where the children will assemble and be taught basic education, cleanliness, drawing and painting. Aptitude test for students
The Tanzeem-e-Walidaen, a unit of the Khaire-Ummat Trust will conduct an aptitude test followed by personal counselling for students who have taken the SSC/HSC examinations this year. Application forms for the test are available for free at Imawada Compound, BIT Chawl daily during office hours till May 30. Call on 3703782.

Arya Samaj's yoga classes
The Arya Samaj at Santacruz will conduct yoga classes for 21 days from May 17. The course covers Asana, Pranayama, Kriya and relaxation. The classes will be conducted from 8 am to 9 pm and from 6.45 to 7.45 pm. For details, contact Arya Samaj on 6462075 or 6482800.
NAB course for physiotherapists
The National Association for the Blind will be enrolling students for the first year Assistant Physiotherapists' Certificate course commencing in July. For more details, contact K B Abraham on 4935365/4936930 before May 20.
