Woman tries to kill herself over exams
One Laxmiben Vijaykumar Sadhwa, a resident of Fatehpura, who could not appear in her M Com examinations last month due to malarial fever attempted to commit suicide by consuming an insecticide on Wednesday. She was admitted to the SSG Hospital. The City police has registered a case against her.

Two killed
Mahendrabhai Raijibhai Baria, 37, his wife Laxmiben, 32, died on the spot and their two minor children survived with serious injuries on Tuesday when their scooter rammed into a private luxury bus outside Talwada village. The children are undergoing treatment at the SSG Hospital. The Dabhoi police said a case of death due to negligence has been registered against the absconding bus driver.

Vehicles stolen
A sunny moped (GJ-6-N-5846) of one Shabanaben Karimbhai, a resident of 31. Patrakar Colony on Tandalja Road, was reported stolen from outside Darpan Apartments on R C Dutt Road on Wednesday night. Meanwhile, in different cases of vehicle thefts registered, an Ambassador car (GRQ-8494), a Yamaha motorcycle (GJ-6-DD-4710), a Bajaj scooter (GJ-6-J-6373) two Sunny mopeds (GJ-6-CC-1590, GJ-6-S-6800) and a Luna moped (GJ-6-H-3107) were stolen from different parts of the city, the police said on Wednesday.

Liquor death
One Kanu Bachchu Rathwa, a resident of Tantoda village under Chhotaudepur police station, died after consuming tadi on Tuesday morning. According to the police, Kanu and his brother Dinesh consumed tadi after the morning meal and went to sleep. While one died, the other reported sick. Dinesh is undergoing treatment at the Community Health Centre in Chhotaudepur.

Two more deaths
One case of murder and one of unnatural death were reported from different parts of the district on Wednesday. According to the Savli police, a 25-year-old resident of Nara village was allegedly strangled to death by her husband and other family members over family disputes. The police said the woman's husband and her sister-in-law were arrested on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the railway police said the body of a youth aged about 35 was found from a railway track in Samaliya village on Tuesday. The youth was wearing a white shirt and blue trousers.

Cheating case
The Raopura police registered a cheating case against two women and a man for reportedly forging documents of a private company to remove its chairman from his post. Police said a case had been registered on the complaint lodged by one Arun Amin, a resident of Tagore Nagar, J P Road, against Mridula Amin, a resident of Gitanjali Society, Jetalpur, Dipikaben, and Mukulbhai Amin, residents of the J P road area, for forging company documents in a bid to remove the chairman of Packing Products Private Limited.
