Adventure sports camp concludes

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
PUNE, May 6: Paradise Country Club and Ransangram Trekking Group, in association with Trishakti Foundation, conducted a camp at the Paradise Country Club from May 1 to 3. The camp saw the enthusiastic participation of 30 children in activities like mountain biking, crossing the ``Burma bridge'', night trekking of nearly 3 km up into the hills, rock climbing and a fitness session followed by a ride in the motorboat.

A demonstration of mountain biking was held at the camp on May 2. The camp saw the riders demonstrating riding techniques, as one of the group leaders -- Sami Makki -- explained to the children the basic workings of a mountain bike and gave a general introduction of mountain biking.

The bikes were then given to the children to experience some off-road biking. After the open session, the riders then amused the kids with tricks like wheelies, endo's, hops and jumps.
