House-breaks
In three cases of house-break registered by the police, cash and valuables worth Rs 37,000 were stolen from houses in different localities of the city last night. While goods worth Rs 5,400 were stolen from the house of one Fatehbhai Amarchand Wardiwala in Padam Nagar Society,Makarpura, cash and ornaments together valued at Rs 25,900 were stolen from house no. 18-A, Satyam Society, in Subhanpura, and Rs 6,000 in cash from house no. F/3 in Panchsheel Apartment, Fatehgunj.

Road accident
The Fatehgunj police has registered a case of causing death due to negligence against the driver of a tempo (GJ-7-X-3616) that hit an unidentified motorcyclist near Dumad Crossing last night. The driver, who sped away from the accident scene, is absconding.

Liquor seized
The city police seized 35 litres of country liquor worth Rs 700 during raids at different places in the city during the last 24 hours. Five people were also caught in this connection, the police said.
