VSNL, Power Grid team up for telecom foray
In a major development to gear up for the privatisation of domestic long distance communications in the country, Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd (VSNL) and Power Grid Corporation Limited (PGCIL), will sign a memorandum of understanding later this week.
SEBI directs SEs to join depositories
Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has made it compulsory for all the stock exchanges in the country to sign up with depositories to provide the dematerialised option to the investors trading on the exchanges.

Under the umbrella prospectus approved by SEBI for 1999-2000, ICICI is offering for public subscription unsecured redeemable bonds in the nature of debentures aggregating Rs 300 crore with a right to retain oversubscription of up to Rs 300 crore.
