Weekend Retreat/Anju Mahendroo

Like any other self-respecting, hard-working, true-blooded Mumbaikar, Anju Mahendroo has no time to take off for the weekend. ``I never know when I'm working, so that really does not leave much time to even think about weekends,'' she says. With awry shooting schedules, which crop up as and when they please, it's not such a big surprise. ``If at all I have to go, I do take off for a planned holiday to Dubai. My sister stays there, and I like spending time with her,'' she says.

That is, of course, when she's not in the midst of shooting or flying off to Sharjah for the cricket matches (one can't remember an important cricket tournament in Sharjah which Anju Mahendroo hasn't attended). Her other holiday spot, she says, is the savvy city of London. ``That's the only other place for which I actually plan a holiday,'' she says.
