Third seed Sane beat the top seed Rohan Gajjar 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 while fourth seed Fernandes struggled over Vivek Jhaveri 6-2, 3-6, 6-3.

Sane will contest the under-14 final as well, this time against Krishne Tanna. Tanna pipped Saurabh Kohli 7-6 (7-3), 4-6, 7-5 while Sane overwhelmed Jay Mehta 6-0, 6-3.

Nagpur's Lata Asudani failed to shrug off the Deepa Chakrabarty jinx. After losing to her in the AITA Ranking tournament two weeks ago, Deepa scored over Lata in the under-16 quarter-finals yesterday. Things were no different today, if only in the age category.

The under-14 semis had Deepa putting up a 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) win while top seed Isha Lakhani will be the other finalist. Krushmi Chedha lost to Isha 1-6, 2-6.

Isha will face top seed Megha Vakharia in the under-16 final. Megha did what Lata failed to, stop Deepa with a 6-2, 6-1 score while Isha was a 6-4, 6-1winner over Vimal Raghini.
