Ghei, Johl hold ninth spot

UNITED NEWS OF INDIA  
SHANGHAI (CHINA), MAY 21: Amandeep Johl and Gaurav Ghei with five-under par 139s held the ninth spot on the second day of the $400,000 Volvo Classic Golf Open here today.

In the second round, Johl carded 68 while Ghei returned with a two under par 70. In the 15th place was Jyoti Randhawa who shot 71 for a total of 141.

Also making the cut were Arjun Singh and Arjun Atwal, who shared the 57th place with aggregates of 146. While Arjun played a 71 today, Atwal shot a par round. Feroz Ali (149) and Vivek Bhandari (154) failed to make the cut which was applied at 146.

Thailand's Thannanoon Sriroj produced a brilliant triple-birdie finish to take the halfway lead with a nine under par 135. With 68 today, Sriroj had a one stroke lead over South African Des Terblanche and a stroke further back was Japanese Yasushi Taki who fired a course record 66 in the second round.
