Rajendra Choudhary, State Minister for Health, government of Rajasthan was the chief guest, while Anita Thakur Rathore, General Manager (project), ONGC, Rajasthan project presided over the function. Among other items, ceiling fans, plastic chairs, plastic water tank, drums, and school uniforms were distributed to the school authorities for use of poor students. The function was co-ordinated by R L Solanki, association chairman.

Exhibition: It has been proposed by the Directorate of Advertising & Visual Publicity (DAVP), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, government of India, to organise photographic exhibition on `50 years of Independence' in the Officers' Club of ONGC from May 24th to June 3rd.

Honoured: N P Singh, General Manager (geology) has been felicitated for his exemplary services in the field of Hindi literature. Som Thakur, a poet of international fame, renowned poet from Ahmedabad Kishor Kabra, and Vishnu Virat, reader, Hindi department, M S University, were present at a function organised to honour him. Singh has to his credit a collection of poems Mutthi Bhar Akaash, a number of scientific documents and articles translated in Hindi which have been published in magazines of national repute.

Coaching camp: The Regional Sports Council, WRBC, Vadodara is organising a summer coaching camp for the wards of employees in badminton and table tennis from May 20th to June 9th. J B Bhaya, General Manager (P&A) inaugurated the camp at the Officers' Club, Vadodara. About 100 wards participated in the camp. The participants are being trained by expert coaches from the Sports Authority of India.
