PANCHKULA, May 23: The Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) held a rally here today against the performance of the Bansi Lal government in the state. Earlier, Abhay Chautala, youth president of the Indian National Lok Dal, addressed mediapersons at House no. 534, Sector 12 A, Panchkula.He said that Bansi Lal government had not been able to provide the basic necessities like water, electricity and satisfactory law and order situation.
Regarding Bansi Lal's assurance about the 24-hour electricity supply in the state, Chautala said there had been no improvement in the situation. He added that no jobs had been provided to the unemployed and the promise to allot petrol pumps and gas agencies to them had not been fulfilled.
Referring to the closing down of a medical college in a rural area, he said the reason offered had been that it was not required whereas all development should begin from the rural level.
Chautala also said that connections of 11,000 tubewells had been removed and the general public was forced to pay high electricity bills.
He also said that the government would fall down automatically and added that a junior IAS officer had been the Deputy Commissioner of Panchkula for the last three years.
Later, the party members set out for the rally which was headed by Abhay Kumar Nagra and passed through the Sectors 12-A, 15, 16, 18, 8, 9, 10, Shakti Bhawan chowk and concluded at the Sector 7 market.
