The lobby's not big enough for the two of us

Paris, May 26: There was no welcome at Hotel California for top seed Martina Hingis after she learned French rival Amelie Mauresmo would be making the Paris hotel her base for the French Open.

Seles said it was a good thing the WTA focused on the looks of players, ``because in our society, for women, everything is based on beauty.''

Late starter

The fourth-seeded Carlos Moya lost two sets to Markus Hipfl on Monday before waking up and making a comeback. ``It was 12:00 and it was time to wake up,'' he said. ``I think that's what I did.'' Moya would like to play a little later in the day, he confessed.

``I'm a bit lazy in that, you know,'' he said. ``It takes time for me to be awake.''
