End to Naga rift not in sight

UNITED NEWS OF INDIA
KUHXU (NAGALAND), JUNE 6: The hope of lasting solution of the five decade old Naga problem is slim with the unity move between the two warring NSCN factions having run into a dead end and the Centre hardening its stand on the question of the sovereignty of the Nagaland and the demand for the Greater Nagalim.

G K Pillai, joint secretary, Ministry of Home told a television channel last night that sovereignty and Greater Nagalim demands of the NSCN were not negotiable.

With both the sides sticking to their stand July 31 has become even more significant as cease fire term expires on the day amidst hardening of stands.
