Mugged, but catches culprit
  • A Robber was caught in New Seelampur by a local businessman. Babbu Rana and his two associates Abrar and Yunus, waylaid Yusuf, a garment shop-keeper, and robbed him of Rs 18,000 yesterday in Seelampur around 7 p.m. Yusuf had just shut his shop and was returning home when the incident occurred. Yusuf got over the initial shock, gave chase to Babbu and nabbed him. The local police finished the job by arresting the other two. The three accused have been charged. The entire amount was seized from the culprits.

    Body found in dry well

  • The body of Hariom was retrieved from a dry well at Suri Farms in Kapashera on Saturday. According to the police, the body bore multiple knife wounds. The police suspect Hariom had been involved in some kind of a struggle near the well. They also managed to get some background on the deceased. Twenty five-year-old Hariom was a resident of Bamnoli Village and was an only son. He was reportedly unemployed. Kapashera police have registered a case of murder.

    Resident robbed

  • Three unidentified youths robbed Parveen Aggarwal, a Rohini resident, of Rs 1 lakh in Ashok Vihar on Saturday night. The incident occurred when Parveen walked out of his A-82 group Wazirpur Industrial Area factory. Three persons, all around 25-26 years, approached him armed with iron rods. He was hit on the head. Aggarwal was forced to give up his money bag.
