Little Masters move up
Fine all-round display by Sunil Sharma (2-41 and 49) helped Little Masters beat Inborn Cricketers by three wickets to enter the quarterfinals of DDCA Hot Weather tournament at Kotla. Suresh Tanwar (80: 91b, 8x4) and Vishal Sharma (59: 65b, 6x4, 1x6) played well for the losers. Little Masters will take on Rajnigandha tomorrow at Palam ground while J N Golden face Winsom in the other quarterfinal at Kotla.
Brief scores: Inborn: 245 for 7 (Suresh Tanwar 80, Vishal Sharma 59, Sunil Sharma 2 for 41). Little Masters: 249 for 7 (Sunil Sharma 49, Shawriq 41, Javed 28, Ashok Singh 26, Manvinder Singh 2 for 34, Sonu Vaid 2 for 58).
Manish Jolly's ton in vain
Qutab Nursery beat Delhi Police by six wickets in the fifth Shanti Challenge Cup.Delhi Police, batting first made 221 with a fine century coming from Jolly. And in reply, Qutab Nursery made 224 for the loss of four wickets. Hanish Arora remained unbeaten on 66 while Kundan Mehra (26 not out) and Jagdish (40) made useful contributions.
Brief scores: Delhi Police: 221 in 39.4 overs (Manish Jolly 114, Sunil Dutt 62, Jagdish 4 for 34, Amolak Singh 2 for 39). Qutab Nursery: 224 for 4 in 36.5 overs (Hanish Arora 66 not out, Kundan Mehra 26 not out, Jagdish 40).
N S Gujral elected
N S Gujral, General Manager, Punjab and Sind Bank, was unanimously elected president of the Delhi Table Tennis Association (DTTA).

Rohit Malik hits 118
Rohit Malik's unbeaten 118 helped Shnakaracharya Sports Academy beat Pahari Dhiraj Club by 237 runs to enter the quarterfinals of Lala Dalchand tournament.
Brief scores: Shankaracharya Academy: 316 for 2 (Rohit Malik 118 not out, Agnesh Surya 79, Anshul Lamba 51 not out). Pahari Dhiraj: 79 (Amit Chaudhary 3 for 6, Anshul Lamba 2 for 14, Sanjeev Mishra 2 for 9).

Hind Club advance
Hind Club defeated Des Raj Academy by 60 runs in the Challenge Cup. After the winners made 220 for eight, with Dipin Thakur making an unbeaten 82, Des Raj Academy were bowled out for a paltry 160.
Brief scores: Hind: 220 for 8 (Dipin Thakur 82 not out, Tilak Raj 39, Devender 39, Sunder 4 for 25, Mindi 3 for 62). Des Raj Academy: 160 (Shyam 41, Kishore 35, Deepak 4 for 30, Javed 3 for 20).

Yoginder Singh to lead
Yoginder Singh of L B Shastri Coaching Centre will lead Indraprastha Sports Academy on a cricket tour of Chamba in Himachal Pradesh. The team will play six matches with different teams in Chamba, according to a release here.
