Ram Jethmalani moved to Law, Jagmohan replaces him
The expected mini-Cabinet reshuffle was effected today with Ram Jethmalani being shifted to the Law Ministry and Jagmohan moving to the Urban Development Ministry. A Rashtrapati Bhavan communique announced the changes this evening.
Mamata, Manipur Cong chief join NDA
The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance today received a shot in the arm with Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee and Manipur Congress chief Nipamacha Singh deciding to join the alliance.
Goa result does not reflect `foreign origin' issue: NCP
NCP leader Sharad Pawar and general secretary P A Sangma declared that the Goa Assembly election was not a referendum on the issue they had raised in the Congress -- that of a person of foreign origin holding high office in India.
