Rajpal, Bhagwati win
Runners from National Stadium and Naglamachi dominated the Reebok Otto Peltzer Road races held today. It was 1-2-3 for National Stadium in men's (5 km) and junior boys (800m) while Naglamachi won the first three positions in junior girls section (800m).

The winner in the men's section, Rajpal clocked a timing of 15:58 which was way above the second placed Purshottam and Rajat Jhakar, who came third.

Batra's all-round effort
Anil Batra's all-round effort (4 for 33 and 38) helped Winners Club beat DDC Club (Ajmer) by two wickets in the final of Choudhary Om Prakash memorial tournament at Government School, Gautam Nagar.
Brief scores: DDC Club: 218 for 9 (Amrish 74, Eash 45, Anil Batra 4 for 33, Duleep 2 for 41, Charanjeet 2 for 38). Winners Club: 219 for 8 (Rohtas 56, Sarabjeet 42, Anil Batra 38, Sudhansu 4 for 48, Nikhil Saleen 2 for 39, Manoj Sali 2 for 33).

Haider sparkles
Rex Remedies XI defeated B P Sharma XI by 20 runs to enter the semifinal of Adventure tournament at DAV School ground . Batting first Rex Remedies made an imposing 261 for seven in their allotted 40 overs with Haider topscoring (78) for them. Sharma XI, though started well, failed to sustain the pace.
Brief scores: Rex Remedies XI: 261 for 7 (Haseen Haider 78, Viney Singh 3 for 48, Jahangir 2 for 40). B P Sharma XI: 241 (Viney Singh 80, Mohd Arif 48, Mayank 26, Jahangir 24, Firoz Saifi 3 for 36, Shoeb 3 for 38, Pradeep 2 for 29).

Carrom awards
S K Sharma, general secretary of All India Carrom Federation of India, and D N Sinha, president of OISCA International, have been selected to be given the Ashok Sharma Award for their contribution to the promotion and organisation of carrom in the country. They will be given the awards at a function at the Constitution Club, Rafi Marg, on June 17.
