Tailor-made beauty
Last week, Arena Multimedia, a division of Aptech Limited, held a fashion show with a difference. The organisers made it mandatory for all the participants to be computer-literate. The show also gave computer-savvy fashion designers a chance to display their talents. And their designed-on-the-computer creations were given shape and character by Zafarbhai of the well-known tailoring unit, Fig Leaf.Whether it was the traditional Indian sari or salwar-kameez or then Western formal and casual wear, Zafarbhai's nimble fingers were able to capture the imagination of the designer perfectly.
Says the man, ``After the students gave me their computerised designs, I worked at the colour, contrast and embroidery myself. It took me one and a half months to get the collection together.'' Truly the man behind the beauty queens! And yes, his Fig Leaf Tailoring Shop is not to be confused with the boutique by the same name.Fashion highs
