Milli Council wants quota for Muslims

PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
Kota, June 21: The All India Milli Council has demanded reservation for Muslims in Government jobs in addition to quota in political and educational spheres in proportion to their population.

Milli Council would urge political parties to concede this demand, convenor of the Rajasthan unit of the council, Abdul Kayyum Akhtar told reporters here yesterday and added that they would ask members of the community to vote for only those candidates in the coming Lok Sabha elections who supported this demand.

Akhtar said the council was organising divisional level conferences to make Muslims aware of their rights.
