On the occasion, the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner, Punjab and UT, M.L.Meena, highlighted the various steps being taken for speedy settlement of claims. "A system of computerised acknowledgement of claims has been introduced in all the offices of Punjab region whereby computerised acknowledgements are given to the claimant," said M.L.Meena.

Meena said that it had been decided to issue all Issuable Annual Statement of Accounts by September 30.

A.D.Nagpal said that improvements should be brought in the working as it's a social security scheme for workers.
