CHANDIGARH, JUNE 21: Haryana Governor Mahabir Prasad today visited Kargil war casualties admitted at the Western Command Hospital, Chandimandir, and enquired about the welfare of the soldiers recuperating there.He also distributed gifts among them and wished them a speedy recovery. Lauding the role of the armed forces and paying tributes to the martyrs, he said that it is the moral duty of the government to look after the families and dependents of those who have laid down their lives serving the country.
The Governor was accompanied by the Chief of Staff, Western Command, Lt Gwen B.S. Malik and the hospital Commandant, Maj Gen Virendra Singh.
