PBI varsity computer centre at Jaitu to open on June 28

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE  
PATIALA, JUNE 21: Punjabi University is making efforts to spread higher and vocational education in educationally backward rural areas of district Faridkot. The university has established the Punjabi University Computer Centre at Jaito to help rural youth in getting vocational education for better employment opportunities.

Dr B.S. Bhatia, Dean, Academic Affairs, said this computer centre would be inaugurated by Dr Upinderjeet Kaur, Minister for Technical Education, Punjab, near Gurdwara Gangsar Sahib, Jaito, on June 28. Bhatia said the computer centre would provide run postgraduate diploma and diploma courses in computer application. The university has decided to provide trained staff and quality infrastructure.
