Ex-mayor Ratilal Desai wants to rejoin Air Force

VADODARA, June 21: Former Mayor and retired Air Force personnel Ratilal Desai has expressed his willingness to extend his services to the Air Force, looking to the situation in Kargil. In a letter to Air Commodore Rajkumar, Desai who retired from the Air Force after 15 years of service stated that as an ex-service man, he felt it was his duty to serve the nation in the present crisis.Stating that he too had provided his services in Leh and Ladakh while being in the forces, Desai urged the Air Commodore to give him an opportunity whenever situation arises. According to him, all leading citizens have also expressed their willingness to extend their services. Desai has requested the Air Commodore to forward his request to the Air Force Chief.
