VADODARA, June 21: With as many as 350 vacancies for teaching posts already existing, the M S University is all set to begin its academic year with more students than last year and the same facilities.Speaking about it Vice-Chancellor of M S University Anil Kane said, ``We have already worked out the workload for every teacher.'' He added that these vacancies have existed for three or four years now.
Kane said he would reiterate the demand for more teachers at a meeting with the governor and other vice-chancellors in the state scheduled to be held later this month.
During that meeting, the university would show the number of vacancies in several faculties and convince the authorities about the need for recruitment.
Kane said that considering the situation, the university had already decided to advertise for temporary lecturers. He said, ``We are waiting for government clearance''.
The V-C said that they were conducting interviews on a regular basis for the posts of temporary lecturers and would clear the appointments once they received a go-ahead from the state government. He added that the university had worked out a faculty-wise vacancy list.
