VADODARA, June 21: The 866th Lok Adalat was held at the Nyaya Mandir here on Sunday. District Judge R M Parmar presided over the Adalat which was organised jointly by Gujarat Legal Services Authority and the Baroda Bar association.

A bar association release said that 234 cases came up before the Adalat, including 131 private complaints, 40 police and 43 maintenance cases. Arguments were held for 184 cases, out of which 162 were successfully disposed of. The release claimed that the Adalat achieved an 88 per cent success rate in disposing of cases.

The Lok Adalat concept had been successful throughout the country, and it was keeping this in consideration that the Lok Adalat was held here, the release said.
