Anu Dhawan
A very funny incident occurred the other day. I was attending the History lecture when the wig which the professor was wearing, suddenly moved from its place. The Poor professor, whose beautiful flowing words had transferred us to the Maratha era, was blissfully unaware of the tremendous change that had come over his head. We were giggling, the boys were having a great time, holding their stomachs and the professor thought it was the effect of his lecture (a funny incident which he was relating).

What was more amusing was the fact that even when the peon entered the room with a note for the professor, he burst out laughing on seeing the crown, which had shifted from its place. The professor was so proud and happy with our response as well as the peon's that his face was glowing. Amazing he thought!!

Now the question was who would bell the cat? Er... I mean who would tell him? Yes, I was thrusted with the honour of doing so, because you see the professor used to call me Miss Punjabi and my friends thought I was the right person to do the honours (without making him angry). Now that the question of Punjab's reputation was at stake - I just had to do it, but how??

So, I just went up to him and said ``Excuse me Sir! I think something has fallen on your hair.'' Now how could he remove it without touching his hair, and all of a sudden he realised the reason for our laughter. The colour of his face changed and what he did next really shocked us. Very gracefully he took off his wig as if it was something very natural and he bowed down saying ``Is it okay now madam''! His bald shining head came as a sudden surprise to us and he started laughing along with us and his wig became well..... History.
