Courier kayoes Carlos Moya
If tennis followers are complaining about the lack of depth and maybe competition in men's tennis they had to be at the Centre Court on Wednesday. A battle between two former world number ones -- Jim Courier and Carlos Moya -- that too in a second round match, would go a long way in taking care of that depth bit.

England have lost their zest
The inventors of cricket have lost their zest for the game and will soon lose their hold. The village greens are all going the football way. And it won't be long before Lord's and Oval will make way for some distant skydome -- indoor stadia, collapsible roof, astro turf, and ah, cheerleaders.

Ajit Agarkar to train under Lillee
After a disappointing World Cup, Indian medium-pace bowler Ajit Agarkar is likely to spend a few days at the MRF Pace Foundation under Dennis Lillee. Sources close to the bowler said he was to leave for Chennai in the next couple of days.
