Docs caught drinking As many as 20 people, including 12 doctors of a private city hospital, were caught by a night police patrol party while they were enjoying liquor at a private function in Shakuntal apartment, near GEB Circle, past Saturday midnight. They were released on bail in the morning. Police seized three bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and more than half a dozen bottles of Pepsi. The hospital's administrator, when contacted, said that he came to know of the incident from Sunday morning's newspapers only. He said ``it is a private matter and has nothing to do with the hospital''. When questioned if any action could be taken against them, he said ``the incident happened outside the hospital for which the hospital is not responsible''.TV stolen A Tv worth Rs 7,000 was reportedly stolen from the Ranoli Primary School office by unidentified burglars last night. According to the police, miscreants entered the house by opening the lock of the of the school office using a duplicate key and committed the theft. The Jawaharnagar police have registered a case. Assaulted Manilal Keshavlal Makwana, a resident of Subhanpura, has complained to the Gorwa police that he was assaulted with iron pipes and sticks by four persons on Saturday. According to Gorwa police, where an FIR has been lodged, Shantilal Makwana, Bhawesh Makwana, Raman Makwana and Nilesh Makwana reportedly attacked Manilal when he questioned them about their quarrel with his (complainant's) niece.
