MUMBAI, JUNE 27: Yogin Thakur of Otters Club won a close encounter against Rahil Shah to reach the under-16 final of the Navi Mumbai Squash Spectacular, organised by the Indian Squash Professionals under the auspices of the Squash Racquets Association of Maharashtra and sponsored by the Navi Mumbai Sports Association at Vashi today.Thakur trailed by two games to one before rallying to overcome Shah 16-17, 15-12, 11-15, 15-13, 15-12 in a lively clash between two 13-year-olds.
Supreet Singh of Navi Mumbai Sports Association defeated Aditya Manjrekar of Willingdon Catholic Gymkhana 15-7, 15-7, 15-11 in the other under-16 semi-final.
Amitpal Kohli of Otters scored a 15-4, 13-15, 15-11, 15-11 victory over Abhijit Kukreja.
The win earned Kohli a berth in the under-19 final where he takes on Avish Jaiswal, a 15-9, 15-13, 15-13 winner over Saket Wali.
