Catching a wave
The government's decision to allow the private sector to compete with All India Radio in frequency module (FM) is welcome, but hopefully this is but the first step in the process of opening up the radio frequencies.

Avoiding a national disaster
For the Chinese the word `crisis' symbolises two things. Problem and opportunity. The Kargil flare-up needs to be analysed with this approach in mind, with a clear perception of what is happening, and more importantly, what our response should be.
