Pakistan will come around eventually, hopes US
The United States expects Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to consult his close advisors and his Cabinet over the weekend before drawing up plans to pull back infiltrators who have crossed the Line of Control.

Sharif returns to low-key, high security reception
Pakistan premier Nawaz Sharif returned home yesterday amid tight security and immediately briefed the army top brass and other key members of the establishment about his parleys on the Kargil crisis with US President Bill Clinton.

US cautions Pak against linking Kargil pullout to Siachen
The United States has rejected Pakistan's contention that it has no control over the infiltrators in Kargil and cautioned Islamabad against linking their withdrawal to Indian vacation of Siachen.
