New Delhi, July 11: Cartoonists, who bring smiles in the morning when readers open their newspapers, are to use their skills to tickle the funny bone of Kargil-bound jawans.
As a mark of solidarity, some of India's leading cartoonists will see off Army jawans leaving for Kargil to battle intruders on Monday afternoon at New Delhi railway station.
Apart from wishing them well and boosting their morale, the cartoonists will also draw caricatures of jawans which will then be presented to them. The cartoonists who have taken the initiative include Unny (The Indian Express), Shekhar (The Pioneer), R Dhodhapkar (Jansatta), Govind (Rashtriya Sahara), R Phore (Navbharat Times) and Manjul (India Today).
