Polls in UT on September 4

CHANDIGARH, JULY 11: The Union Territory of Chandigarh would go to the polls in the first phase of polling on September 4. According to the schedule for the forthcoming parliamentary polls announced by the Election Commission in Delhi today, Chandigarh would have polling, along with Punjab and Haryana on September 4. Himachal would, however, go to polls on September 24.

In the last Parliamentary election held in 1998, BJP nominee Satya Pal Jain had won defeating Congress nominee Pawan Kumar Bansal.
