CHANDIGARH, JULY 11: The Director General Armed Forces Medical Services, Lt Gen R.S. Jayaswal paid a one day official visit to Western Command Hospital, Chandimandir, today. He went around hospital wards and interacted with the injured troopers recuperating there as well as with medical staff attending to their needs.He also discussed certain medical cases, requirements of the hospital and preparedness to handle exigencies with the hospital Commandant, Maj Gen Virendra Singh and other senior officers. Lt Gen Jayaswal, who heads the medical servies of all three services, said that funds have been made available to procure additional medical equipment and supplies as required by various hospitals.
HUDA contractors chip in Rs 1 lakh
PANCHKULA: Members of the HUDA Contractors Association have presented a cheque of Rs 1,00,000 to the Deputy Commissioner of Panchkula, for the welfare of the Army jawans. The Panchkula Timber Traders Welfare Association has contributed Rs 56,000 towards the Chief Minister's War Heroes Fund. The Market Welfare Association of Sector 15 has contributed Rs 33,000 for the fund.
