Rains claim 3 lives in Surat

UNITED NEWS OF INDIA

SURAT, JULY 16: Three persons lost their lives in rain-related incidents in the last 24 hours in south Gujarat as almost all parts of the region received heavy rainfall for the third consecutive day on Thursday.

Police said that a body of an unidentified youth was recovered from the Tapi river near Ambaji village of Kamrej taluka.

In another incident, Nilesh Rama Gamit (20) of Dhanmauli village died on the spot when an electric pole fell on him.
