Mumbai Notes

Medical facilities on Konkan Rly

Konkan Railway has decided to extend medical facilities to its passengers en route. This decision was taken at a multi-disciplinary health camp organised for the first time by the Konkan Railway for its employees and their families.

Overwhelmed by the excellent response to the Camp, Konkan Railway Corporation (KRC) will now organise camps at Ratnagiri, Chiplun, Madgaon, Karwar and Udupi where employees and locals can avail of the free health facilities. The decision was taken with the view that many villages adjoining Konkan Railway stations are far away from the big cities and do not have easy access to medical facilities. Apart from giving general information on health and hygiene, the (KRC) will also screen health related filmsfor locals.
