Love triangle leads to murder of boy

NASHIK, July 23: The competition between two youths for the attention of the same girl is suspected to have led to the murder of one of the competitors in Malegaon.

On Thursday the decomposed body of Ajaykumar Maurya was recovered by the police from a nullah near Daregaon in Malegaon tehsil. The postmortem revealed that the victim has been strangulated to death about six days earler. The police, after identifying the deceased, interrogated some persons at a plastic factory.

The investigations revealed that Maurya used to work in the factory and was having a love affair with Svehaleha Bano, a co-worker. When she was interrogated, she named Iftekhar Wasim and two others as the possible killers. Police said that she admitted to having an affair with Maurya and stated that Iftekhar, too, was interested in her.

The police have taken Bano, Iftekhar Dinesh and Shakeel into custody. It is believed that Maurya was assaulted and strangulated to death with a rope.
