But if I can spare more than a couple of days, I beat a retreat to Mahabaleshwar during the rains. The road is motorable and along with some friends we drive down. Mahabaleshwar is beauty personified in the monsoon.

The scenic beauty is simply breath-taking. I simply put my feet up and relax. Or, sometimes I go to Mulshi lake with a group of friends. I also spend as much time with the family as possible. That can be refreshing. I take my mind of the tension . And anyway, music itself is relaxing. That's my idea of a weekend retreat.
