Bagan-BNR match abandoned

CALCUTTA, July 23: After a barren opening session, Mohun Bagan shot into the lead in the fourth minute through Basudev Mondal but BNR restored parity three minute later when Moinul Haq found the target.

With the rains continuing even in the second session, Mohun Bagan players appealed to the referee who decided to abandon the game after consulting the assistant referees.

Mohammedan Sporting will take on Eastern Railway in their next Super Division league match tomorrow.
