Woman missing
A newly married woman is reported missing from Bhimnagar area of Pandesara, in the city, the police were informed. One Sunita Nanku Nissar (18), a resident of plot no 134, Bhimnagar is missing since Monday afternoon, her husband Nanku Nissar told the Pandesara police on Tuesday afternoon. According to Nissar, his wife left the house without informing anyone. When last seen the tall and fair woman was wearing a red and yellow saree, the police said. Head constable Hasu Vali Mohammed is investigating further.

Fatal fall
One Harishchandra Behra, a silk mill worker died at 4 am on Tuesday in the Mahavir Hospital, an hour after he was admitted to the hospital with severe head injuries. A case registered in the Udhna police station on Tuesday morning said that Behra, a migrant labourer from Orissa and presently residing at Harinagar in Udhna, fell from a machine at Abhinandan Silk Mills and sustained head injuries. A case under section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure has been registered at the police station.

Drowned
One Gabal Bhanu Kokani, a resident of Kala Amba village of Mahuva taluka drowned in Umra village of the taluka on Monday evening, a case registered in the police station said. Gabal had gone to bathe in the Ambika river when he slipped and drowned, the complaint added. A case under CrPC 174 has been registered in the Mahuva police station.

Brawl
A man assaulted a plumber and his associate with a knife on Tuesday morning and fled, the Katargam police said. Manilal Parshottam Patel told the Katargam police that his plumber Ramesh and another associate Popat Savji were assaulted by Dayha Popat, a resident of Jeevandweep Society in the area. Theft of a few couplings used to join metal pipes prompted the assault, the complainant said.
