Kapodara police inspector C M Mudaliar, who led the raid and lodged a complaint in the police station, said that apart from Rs 1.21 lakhs in cash that was recovered from the possession of the accused, four scooters, one fan and other items worth Rs 66,150 used by the gamblers were also seized.

According to information, a team of Kapodara police raided the house of Kanji Ranchhod Patel alias Kana Mama on the fourth floor of an apartment in Manda Kaka Ni Pol and arrested Kana Mama, along with 10 others, all residents of Kapodara, Varachha and A K Road.

Apart from Kana Mama, the chief accused, those arrested red-handed have been identified as Harish Samji Pancholia of Siddharth Apartments, Kapodara, Bhupat Parshottam Kakadia of Patel Chambers, Baroda Pristage, Varachha, Bhagwant Samji Patel, a resident of Bhat Ni Wadi, Varachha Road, Ramesh Lalji Mowaliya of Sitanagar Society, Varachha Road, Dhiru Meghji Mangukiya of Purvi Society, Varachha Road, Vasant Dusa Patel of Amardeep Apartments, Varachha Road, Dilip Mohan Patel residing at Rama Society on A K Road, Chandu Bhawan Dhumar of Amardeep Apartments, Varachha Road, Shailesh Ranchhod Patel residing at New Shakti Vijay Society, Varachha Road and Vilas Ramji Deshmukh of Amardeep Apartments, Varachha Road.
