Intab, CCSCSB romp home with easy wins Intab Club and CCSCSB Club won their respective matches with ease on the opening day of the DTTA inter-club league table tennis championship being held at Exchange Hall, Reserve Bank of India here. Intab Club (Nitin Mahajan, Rajat Chopra and Mrinal Mondal) beat MMTC (Dalip Gupta, RK Sharma and Harish Khanna) 3-0 while CCSCSB (Joginder Singh Bisht, Jagmohan Singh Bisht, NS Rawat) defeated Copper Field Club by an identical margin. In other matches, NCDC `A' prevailed over CPWD 3-0 while Engineer India Ltd. `B' managed to win over Arrowhead Club 3-0. Both turned out to be one-sided affairs. Results: Intab bt MMTC: 3-0 (Nitin Mahajan bt Dalip Gupta 21-15, 21-17; Rajat Chopra bt RK Sharma 21-12, 21-18; Mrinal Mondal bt Harish Khanna 21-14, 21-15). Ahuja rides to glory In a very keenly-contested international show jumping championship over four rounds in Germany, Aditya Ahuja of India brought home the gold medal and trophy. This was the first time Indians were invited to compete in Europe where riders from USA, Japan, Germany, Chile, UAE, France, Brazil, Jorden, Australia, Canada, Argentina, Spain, Austria and Venezuala also participated.
