Two men die on the spot in mishaps

PANCHKULA, AUG 23: Two persons were killed and three injured in separate accidents in the district today. In the first incident, one person was killed on the spot when a mini-bus carrying 15 persons hit a tree near HMT, Pinjore. The deceased was identified Keshav Raj of Bathu in Una district of HP. Two persons, Prem and Billu also of Bathu, were injured and admitted to PGI in Chandigarh. In the second accident a scooterist, Surinder Kumar, of Kalka was knocked down by a truck and was killed on the spot. The mishap took place near Khadi Ashram at Bitnapura near Pinjore. The truck driver has been booked for rash and negligent driving by the Pinjore police under Section 279, 304 of the Indian Penal Code.Copyright © 1999 Indian Express Newspapers (Bombay) Ltd.
