The youth was reportedly waiting for a customer interested in purchasing it. Pretending to be a customer, one of the sleuths compelled the youth to admit possession of the weapon. He was immediately arrested.

After interrogation, the police found that the youth hailed from Jaunpur district in UP and lived in Dahod. He identified himself as Narendra, alias Dinesh Singh Jitendra Singh Thakur-Rajput.
