In the meeting the responsibilities of the heads of the kendras and election offices in the district were discussed and Manchanda urged them to work with a team spirit and accomplish the goal to ensuring Vajpayee's victory in the elections. The senior party officials present in the meeting included Shyam Lal Bansal, Shyam Lal Sachdeva, Nardev Sharma and C.B. Goel.

Later in the day, a meeting of the BJP Yuva Morcha was organised, in which 40 youngsters announced their decision to join the party. Those present in the meeting were Neti Dubey, Anil Thukral and Suresh Kumari. Those who spoke on the occasion included Banto Kataria, Anil Gopal and Nardev Sharma.
