MUMBAI, August 24: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Nashik, has arrested three policemen while they were allegedly accepting a bribe from a truck owner in the city on Sunday.The truck of one Sanjay Patil dashed against a motorcycle near the Hirawadi area in the city. The motorcycle owner lodged a complaint with the police against Patil.
The police seized Patil's documents related to the truck.
Patil, who was requesting for return of the seized documents, was refused by the policemen but instead Police Havaldar Bagul, two constables Raghunath Fugat and Vilas Bhoj demanded a bribe of Rs 1,500, the sources added. Patil then lodged a complaint with the ACB office.
The ACB squad laid a trap and arrested the trio redhanded while they were accepting the bribe.
