Faujis forced into poll fray to ensure dignity -- RRD

CHANDIGARH, Aug 24: Interacting with residents and shopkeepers in Sectors 18 and 19 during his election campaign today, local Rashtriya Raksha Dal candidate, Col Harsharan Singh (Retd), emphasised that ex-servicemen had been forced to enter the electoral fray to ensure the dignity of the uniformed fraternity.He hoped that Chandigarh residents would repose faith in the sense of sacrifice and selflessness of the uniformed fraternity and to help look into their problems and help convert Chandigarh into a "genuine" City Beautiful. A statement issued later said the presidents of the market committees of these sectors, Badrinath and Ashwani Jain have promised support to the RRD.
