ISLAMABAD, Aug 24: Pakistan is likely to play a five-match limited overs series against the West Indies in the Canadian city of Toronto to fill in the gap created by India's refusal to participate in this year's edition of the annual Indo-Pak series. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed an offer has been made to it by TransWorld International (TWI), which has already sold the TV rights world over for what would have been the Sahara Cup, to play against the West Indies instead to avoid the losses to be incurred following India's pullout.
``The representative of TWI offered a new proposal on Monday which, according to them, is the last option to save them from suffering losses and at the same time enable viewers around the world to watch the game,'' PCB's ad-hoc committee chairman Mujeebur Rehman was quoted as saying by The News English daily here.
He said though Pakistan was not bound to play with the change in opponent, PCB would honour all its commitments made through the InternationalCricket Council (ICC).
