According to a spokesperson, "Although established in 17 states and union territories throughout the country, the State Bank of Patiala's (SBP) focus for providing banking services will be Punjab andits adjoining states." The bank has recently launched a novel concept of "Patiala Bank Kisan Card" with the aim of providing flexibility in the bank's system of credit to farmers. The bank now also plans to lay more emphasis on car, housing and consumer goods finance through its network.
