City scientist awarded in MP

PUNE, Aug 26: Dr. V.M. Raut, scientist and soybean breeder at the Agarkar Research Institute (MACS) has received a certificate of appreciation and cash reward from the Soybean Processors Association of India (SOPA) Indore, for his work in the evolution of new soybean varieties and its social impact on the farming community. Raut has bred, identified and released six soybean varieties for cultivation in seven states of the country.
